to my son cody lee, i never saw you smile or heard you make a sound .i think about you everyday. my
heart hurts for you everyday, i long to see you and to hold you close to my chest .i would love to
stroke your hair and kiss your forehead from time to time . but the closest i can get is to shut my
eyes and wish . you would be 15 now , almost a grown man at my side .i will be waiting for you ,
just like i do now ..... when you died son a part of me died with you and when i lost your little
brother curtis alvin , i felt the same way. i dream of you guys at times. you're about 8 and curtis
about 5 in my dreams , i'm sittin on the swing at grandads , and you two come up and start talking
to me ... i know it's ya'll and i know in my dreams that ya'll are in heaven but i still try to stay
and talk to you two for as long as my dream lets me , alas it's never long enough before you look at
the sunset and tell me it's time for ya'll to get back and i sit on the swing and watch ya'll walk
away holding your little brothers hand to guide him back to our fathers land , oh my god son i love
ya'll

God's Garden
The flowers in God's garden
are wonderful and rare
but there is one so beautiful,
it's quite beyond compare.
God gave to us this flower,
a gift from up above.
"Take great care of this", he said,
so we tended it with love.
It budded here on earth
a little while ago,
but it was bound for heaven,
so we had to let it go.
Some flowers are here for years and years,
from some it's just a few.
So remember when you have these flowers
They're God's gift to you
